We are seeking a consultative, customer-focused Sales Engineer to help enterprise organizations modernize their infrastructure operations through API-driven automation, AI-assisted operational intelligence, and integrated DDI solutions.This role goes far beyond traditional pre-sales engineering. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the customer lifecycle — from discovery and evaluation through adoption, operational success, and expansion. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, and GTM teams to help customers simplify operations, accelerate automation, improve security posture, and drive measurable business value.Whether you are a Network Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Architect, Automation Engineer, or customer-facing technical consultant with strong networking and cloud expertise, we want to hear from you.Please note that only candidates residing in the DACH region and fluent in German will be contacted.What you'll do:Advise customers on infrastructure modernizationLead consultative discovery sessions on cloud transformation, automation, and resiliencyAdvise on modern DDI architectures across hybrid and multi-cloud environmentsHelp migrate legacy network services to API-driven, automated platformsGuide operational best practices for DNS, DHCP, IPAM, security, and orchestrationAlign technical recommendations to customer business priorities and outcomesDeliver business value through technical engagementsLead proof-of-value engagements around automation outcomes and infrastructure resiliencyDesign integrated solutions leveraging BlueCat alongside cloud, security, and orchestration platformsSupport Infrastructure-as-Code strategies, automation frameworks, and API integrationsDeliver technical workshops, executive presentations, and architecture reviewsPartner with Customer Success and Professional Services through deployment and expansionDrive collaboration and market influenceCollaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and GTM to shape product directionProvide feedback on automation capabilities, API usability, and cloud integrationsContribute to enablement content, architecture guidance, and thought leadershipParticipate in customer advisory engagements, webinars, and industry eventsIdentify expansion opportunities across the broader BlueCat platform portfolioManage engagements and opportunity updates in Salesforce and collaboration toolsQualifications:3+ years in sales engineering, infrastructure/network engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing architecture rolesExperience designing enterprise solutions for networking, cloud, security, automation, or systems integrationBachelor's in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent practical experienceStrong consultative and relationship-building skills with enterprise stakeholdersExecutive communication skills — able to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiencesProven ability to align technical solutions with business outcomes and strategic prioritiesComfortable in a remote-first environment with moderate travelRequirements:Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) platformsEnterprise networking and network infrastructure operationsExperience with hybrid and multi-cloud environmentsAPI-driven infrastructure and automation frameworksInfrastructure-as-Code and orchestration technologiesNetwork security and operational resiliency strategiesLinux/UNIX platforms and systems administrationScripting, automation, and systems integrationVirtualization and cloud-native technologies Nice to haves:Familiarity with AI-assisted operations, infrastructure intelligence, and operational analyticsExperience integrating infrastructure platforms with cloud providers and security toolsHands-on experience with orchestration platform integrations and IT operations ecosystemsAutomation workflow design and AI-driven operational toolingIf you share our enthusiasm for the future of our company and are eager to contribute to our vibrant workplace, we look forward to receiving your application!
