Intracom Defense (IDE) is the leading defense company in Greece with significant international activity. IDE designs, develops and manufactures products and systems that incorporate advanced in-house developed technologies in the areas of Missile Electronics, Tactical Communication and Information Systems, Border and Area Security solutions, Hybrid Electric Power Systems and Unmanned Surface and Air platforms. IDE is a registered NATO supplier and participates in international development and production programs, as well as in international collaborations for the production and export of defense equipment. IDE is currently looking for a Proposal Manager to join Business Development activities for Defense Programs. The Proposal Manager will lead the development and delivery of financial and technical proposals, presentations and other business development materials, in the frame of capturing new business opportunities and industrial partnerships in the domestic and international defense market. The ideal candidate is expected to have business development experience with proven track record of managing complex proposals and wining tenders of significant value. Responsibilities: - Provide leadership for and coordinate activities related to the development, planning and scheduling of winning proposals. - Lead the bidding process from inception phase (RFP/RFQ/RFI) to proposal preparation, submission and contract award. - Be responsible for assembling required proposal team resources, skills and matrixed support functions to develop proposal content and conformance to RFP/Tender requirements. - Manage overall proposal content design, development and review as well as overseeing proposal production and delivery activities. - Analyze and optimize proposal cost elements in collaboration with the proposal team in order to submit the most competitive proposal. - Manage timeline so that all components of the proposal are submitted well in advance of proposal deadline. - Act as a focal point of contact with the Customers for clarifying the RFP/Tender requirements. - Coordinate the preparation of commercial agreements (NDAs, MoUs, etc). - Identify new prospects for business opportunities with new and existing clients and keeps track of the competition. - Enhance relationships with existing and new customers. - Participate in industrial events and conferences. - Understand technologies at the level of system architecture in the field of Defense. - Record and Maintain the lead/proposal status in the Customer Relationship Management database.
