Our team thrives on solving complex problems, driving technological advancements, and creating impactful digital products. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to our mission of launching the next wave of successful startups. As a Backend Engineer at UP.Labs, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our applications. You will work closely with product teams to ensure seamless integration and high performance of our platform. Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. * Optimize application performance and ensure high availability. * Implement security best practices to protect data and infrastructure. * Maintain and improve database performance, including indexing and query optimization. * Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices. * Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. * Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and resolve issues proactively. * Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in backend development. Qualifications and Requirements: * 5+ years of experience in building and deploying backend applications. * Strong experience with Node.js for building server-side applications and APIs using JavaScript or TypeScript. * Strong experience with Python for backend development and scripting, using Django, Flask, or equivalent frameworks. * Experience with Nest, Express, or similar frameworks. * Strong experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL. * Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. * Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Preferred Skills: * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools. * Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture. * Knowledge in IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.
