Responsibilities
The QA / Quality Engineer will ensure the quality and reliability of the data platform through comprehensive testing strategies and quality assurance processes. This role verifies that all components meet requirements and function correctly before release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement QA strategies for the data platform / Azure cloud platform.
- Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts (Python, SQL queries).
- Execute manual and automated testing of platform components.
- Validate data quality and the accuracy of data transformations.
- Test API integrations and data flows.
- Perform performance and security testing.
- Identify and document defects, and track them through resolution.
- Define quality metrics and reporting.
- Participate in code and design reviews from a quality perspective.
- Collaborate with the development team to improve overall product quality.
Required Skills:
- More than 5 years of experience in quality assurance or testing.
- Experience testing data platforms or high-data-volume applications.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices.
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Experience with test automation frameworks.
- Understanding of API testing and data validation.
- Familiarity with performance testing techniques.
- SQL knowledge for data validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
Contract type: Contractor, 6-month initial term with possibility of renewal.
