Position SummaryWe are seeking multiple Geospatial Analyst in Huntsville Alabama with a strong foundation in geospatial technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and processing geospatial data, generating visualizations, and contributing to high-quality GIS products for a variety of mission-focused projects.Key Responsibilities:Analyze, manage, and interpret geospatial data to support JANUS contract deliverablesCreate and maintain high-quality maps and GIS products using ArcGIS 10.x, ArcGIS Pro, and/or Erdas ImagineApply QA/QC protocols to ensure accuracy and integrity of geospatial outputsLeverage remote sensing techniques to contribute to land and ground cover datasetsCollaborate with a remote team of analysts, data managers, and mission leadsUse Microsoft Office 365 for reporting, communication, and documentationMaintain file structure and data hygiene using Windows File Explorer and standardized workflowsRequired Qualifications:Minimum of a DOD secret clearance is requiredBachelor’s Degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experienceHands-on experience with ArcGIS 10.x and/or ArcGIS Pro and extensionsExperience with Erdas Imagine or similar remote sensing softwareStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows File ExplorerPreferred Qualifications:ENC/DNC experienceFamiliar with maritime datasets, Notice to Marines, navigational aids, dangers to navigation, etc.Very high attention to details, can learn and come up to speed quickly, complete tasks efficiently and accurately, and work very well with the existing team to contribute to meeting project goals.Familiarity with classification techniques and land/ground cover data modelingAbility to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed teamExperience handling large raster datasets and working in a production environmentWhy Join Geo Owl:Contribute to meaningful national security missionsJoin a team that values innovation, integrity, and excellenceOpportunities for professional growth and continuing educationBenefits:Health Insurance (Geo Owl pays 80%+ of the premium). 401k matching.
