This is a Remote RoleThe Role:The Education Specialist supports learners in AAPC courses primarily via email and occasionally via phone. The specialist acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in assisting students through their distance learning course, Practicode and other learning platforms.Special Note: This is primarily a student support/customer service position with flexibility to work remotely from a home office.Responsibilities:Support AAPC learners in Practicode, self-paced, and other online coursesInstruct and encourage learners by accurately answering questions via email and phoneProvide excellent customer service at all times; be respectful, courteous, positive, and professionalManage multiple inboxes, responding to all emails within 48 hoursCollaborate with a team of internal and external expertsPositively contribute to AAPC’s well-established team of coding educators in providing industry-best training and membership experienceSupport the content and curriculum team with content updates and reviews as applicable.Experience You’ll Need:High School Diploma (Bachelors preferred)3 years of medical coding experienceTeaching/training experience preferredExcellent written and verbal communication necessaryExcellent Organizational skills; able to prioritize workload and complete tasks effectivelyCPC Certification requiredCustomer service/support experienceComputer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)Who We Are:Our mission is to advance the business of healthcare by providing professional training, industry-standard certifications, and comprehensive solutions to individuals and organizations across medical coding, billing, auditing, compliance, and practice management.We are humble, integrity-centered, passionate, respectful and entrepreneurial.
