Nectir has raised $18.5M from leading investors including Rethink Impact, Long Journey Ventures, and Entrada Ventures.About the roleWe are looking for a high-performing Account Executive to drive adoption of our AI platform across higher education institutions.This role focuses on selling directly to senior academic leadership, including Provosts, Vice Presidents of Academic Affairs, Deans, and Presidents. These leaders are actively exploring how AI can responsibly support teaching, learning, and student success, and this role will help guide them through that transformation.We are a Series A company, which means the playbook is still being built. We are looking for someone who combines enterprise sales discipline with grit, creativity, and initiative. You will help generate pipeline, close early customers, and refine the sales motion that will power the company's growth. This is a role for someone who enjoys building, not just operating within an established system.This role will work closely with our VP of Business Development and our marketing and customer success teams.What you'll doDrive New Institutional PartnershipsBuild relationships with Provosts, Vice Presidents of Academic Affairs, Deans, and PresidentsLead consultative sales conversations around institutional priorities such as student success, faculty productivity, and responsible AI adoptionNavigate complex university buying processes and multi-stakeholder decision environmentsBuild Pipeline Through Outbound ProspectingGenerate pipeline through targeted outbound outreachUse phone, email, LinkedIn, and conference networking to secure meetings with senior academic leadersIdentify institutions aligned with our ideal customer profile and pursue them strategicallyConvert Inbound Interest Into OpportunitiesEngage quickly with inbound leads from marketing, PR, and conferencesConduct discovery conversations to qualify opportunitiesMove prospects through the evaluation and decision processHelp Build the Sales PlaybookShare insights from conversations with academic leadersHelp refine messaging, positioning, and objection handlingCollaborate with marketing and product to improve use cases and materialsManage Opportunities and ForecastMaintain accurate pipeline and opportunity trackingManage complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholdersProvide visibility into deal progress and forecast expectationsWhat We're Looking ForMust-Haves5+ years of enterprise or consultative sales experience in edtech, and has successfully sold edtech solutions into higher educationProven success selling to Provosts, VPs of Academic Affairs, Deans, or Presidents, and comfortable engaging senior leaders in strategic conversationsProven track record of meeting/exceeding quotaDemonstrated ability to generate pipeline through outbound prospectingExperience navigating complex institutional buying processesStrong consultative selling skills, persistence, and resourcefulness in generating opportunitiesIs energized by building something new and motivated by meaningful work that improves higher educationNice-to-HavesExperience selling AI, analytics, or learning technologyExperience working in early-stage or high-growth companiesWorking at NectirWe're a startup, which means the work moves fast, but the impact is real.
