Azure Summit Technology is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our dynamic, growing, cross-functional team. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing equipment, facilities, test plans, and logistical arrangements for hardware and software tests of complex, mission-critical SIGINT equipment supporting U.S. military forces. This position requires occasional travel to our Fairfax, Virginia, office and other locations in the Washington, DC region. The candidate will play a key role in helping Azure meet its business objectives and contract requirements for testing and delivery of complex SIGINT systems on schedule and with the full satisfaction of our customers. Responsibilities: - Plan and prepare equipment, facilities, test plans, and logistical arrangements for hardware and software tests of complex, mission-critical SIGINT equipment - Work closely with Azure’s engineering team to develop objective, verifiable acceptance test procedures and criteria - Coordinate with customer personnel to secure their concurrence on test procedures - Procure, install, and configure test equipment - Analyze test data, prepare test reports, and determine root cause of improper or inconsistent operation - Oversee testing schedules and report on technical progress and schedule projections to the Azure program manager and customer representatives - Develop recommendations to accelerate testing and improve test efficiency - May involve engineering rotation assignments in independent research and development, production, RF design and development, software engineering, and systems engineering as business needs allow and tasking is available
