We are looking for an experienced Mid/Sr QA automation engineer to develop and manage our automation frameworks using Selenium and Cucumber. You will drive quality initiatives across software engineering, influence the product roadmap, and drive alignment with stakeholders. It is essential that you can lead by example and be hands-on in defining and implementing a best-in-class QA strategy. Role & Responsibility:
Managing QA engineers across multiple agile teams testing multiple software features and releases
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities for the QA team.
Must have strong experience with multiple performance testing tools such as JMeter etc
Work closely with the development teams to ensure the delivery of quality software to clients.
Well-versed in SQL, Scripting, Test Automation, and Load Testing
Analyze and translate business requirements and user stories into automation testing scripts
Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test scripts
Prioritizes areas of focus for automation, considering business priorities and risks
Ensures issues found during automation are reported and triaged
Reports test progress and quality status to project stakeholders.
Work to automate regression testing during the product development life cycle.
Designs and implements automation solutions based on system understanding and analysis of technology and system specifications
Creates/Executes Automated Functional, Regression, and System testing for applications
Participates in project release efforts ranging in scope from small to very large
Works with peers to troubleshoot and resolve project issues, both technical and non-technical in nature
May serve as a subject matter expert for one or more functional areas of our applications.
Experience with REST API Test automation
Requirements
5+ years experience and have done QA automation for at least 3 years
Experience with continuous integration development and deployment
Experience working in an agile development environment
Expert-level knowledge of QA Automation process and testing methodology.
Programming/scripting with Java, Cucumber, and Selenium
Experience with application performance testing using JMeter or any other tools
Ability to define application/page performance criteria in terms of load time, frustration time, etc
Hands-on experience with writing and executing test plans and test cases
Creating web-based Rest API service tests
Experience with SQL and its uses within programming languages
Demonstrated expertise with industry-standard Quality Assurance methodologies and their practical applications
Proven track record of continual improvements in the QA process, optimizing resources to reach business project goals.
Shown leadership skills in small teams, leading to deliverable products
Strong project-management and agile methodologies experience. Must be used for short iterations of testing and changing business requirements
Experience managing offshore team members and their deliverables
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Azure or AWS Cloud experience is a plus
Nice to have - working knowledge of vulnerability testing tools like Burp Suite, Veracode, Qualys, Nessus, etc.
