Responsibilities: - Prepare cold dishes, salads, hors d'oeuvres, and buffet items according to the company's recipes and standards. - Ensure all food items are prepared and stored in accordance with food safety regulations and company standards. - Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times. - Ensure that all food items are presented in an attractive and visually appealing manner. - Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely service. - Coordinate with sales representatives and clients to ensure their specific needs and requests are met. - Assist with menu planning and development as required. - Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required. - Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed. - Assist with kitchen operations as needed, including preparation, cooking, and cleaning. - Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen. - Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. - Check the quality of ingredients. - Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.
