Job title: Account Executive - Association & Chamber Management Software Type: Contract, ongoing. Part-time to start, full-time as pipeline supports it. Location: Remote, worldwide. Meaningful overlap with US business hours required. Compensation: Uncapped commission on every deal you close, paid from the first one. There is no base salary while we are pre-revenue and we are not going to pretend otherwise. As bookings build, this converts to base plus commission, and this is the seat our first full-time sales hire comes out of. Commission structure is discussed on the first call, and we expect you to negotiate it. If you need a salary before you have sold anything, this is not your role. If you want real upside in a category nobody has locked up, it is. About the company: Melora Connect is association management software built for small associations and chambers of commerce - organizations under 500 members who have been priced out of or buried by the enterprise platforms. The product is built and in front of its first customers. Why this role exists: Our sales development track works a warm list and books discovery calls. Somebody has to run those calls and close them. That is this job. There are roughly 4,000 chambers of commerce in the US alone, plus tens of thousands of trade and professional associations, and a large share of them complain openly about the software they are on. The category is winnable and nobody is working it hard. What you will do: - Own deals end to end: discovery, demo, proposal, objection handling, close. - Sell to executive directors, membership directors and volunteer boards. The buying committee is real here, and your champion usually has to sell the decision internally without you in the room. Your job is to arm them. - Run the demo yourself against real pricing, a real migration path and real switching costs. - Beat the two objections that kill deals in this category: "we cannot move fifteen years of member data" and "the board will not approve a change this year." We have answers. You will sharpen them. - Build the playbook as you go: discovery questions, pricing conversations, and competitive positioning against WildApricot, MemberClicks, GrowthZone, Glue Up and StarChapter. - Work the ecosystem: state chamber federations, association executive groups, regional conferences and referral partners. - Keep HubSpot accurate and forecast honestly. Who we are looking for: You have closed B2B deals and can walk us through a specific one - who you sold to, what nearly killed it, and what you did about it. You are comfortable with a four to five figure annual contract and a sales cycle that can include a board vote. You are self-directed, because nobody here is going to monitor your activity. You can hold a room of non-technical people and make changing software feel safe rather than risky. SaaS selling experience matters more than industry experience, but if you have sold into associations, chambers, nonprofits, membership organizations or events, you will move faster. Applicants worldwide welcome. What you get: uncapped commission from the first deal, a product that is already built, a warm list and a sales development track feeding you calls, a founder who answers immediately, and first claim on the head of sales seat as this scales. Skills required: B2B sales, SaaS sales, closing, discovery, negotiation, demo delivery, pipeline management, CRM (HubSpot or comparable), fluent English. Nice to have: association, chamber, nonprofit or membership organization experience; experience selling to boards and committees.
