We are seeking an experienced Consultant - HR & Benefits to support multiple (1 - 3) client engagements in a fast-paced, consulting environment here at Alliant Human Capital. This role will serve as a key partner to clients, providing both hands-on HR and/or Benefits support and strategic guidance across HR operations, benefits, and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and employee relationsAdminister employee benefits programs and support open enrollment processesOversee and/or manage day to day LOA and ADA casesServe as liaison between clients and benefits vendors, brokers, and carriersSupport Leave of Absence programs (FMLA, ADA, etc.) and ensure compliance with regulations such as the Family and Medical Leave Act and Americans with Disabilities ActMaintain HRIS systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG, Workday) and support payroll processesPartner with clients to improve HR processes, ensure compliance, and deliver project-based workSupport benefits reconciliations, invoice audits, and vendor billing reviewsAssist with HR audits, reporting, and compliance documentation (ACA, COBRA, etc.)Develop and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee communicationsTrack and manage client deliverables, timelines, and project status updatesProvide guidance on employee classification, compensation, and HR best practicesCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve HR and benefits-related issuesSupport HR system implementations, enhancements, and data clean-up effortsAnalyze HR and benefits data to identify trends and provide actionable insightsEnsure accurate documentation and recordkeeping for compliance and audit readinessConfigure, test, and optimize HRIS workflows, integrations, and reporting to improve system efficiency and user experienceQualifications5+ years of strong HR experience and Benefits administration experience3+ years of LOA and ADA experienceExperience supporting multiple clients or business units preferredKnowledge of HR compliance and employment lawsStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsDetailsLocation: 100% RemoteType: Contract / ConsultantPay: $40–$45/hour (based on experience)
