Volunteer: Project Manager, Political Data Collection~5 hours per week. This is a remote volunteer role (within the US). Join the WeVote Movement.About UsWeVote is a nonpartisan “get-out-the-vote” nonprofit startup and a Fast Forward nonprofit technology grantee. WeVote is building a movement of over 150 passionate volunteers (starting with the founders) who build open-source mobile technologies to touch and mobilize millions of voters on Election Day. We aim to provide a complete voting experience in 8 minutes, including the download of our app (“WeVote Ballot Guide, @WeVote”). We are a 100% remote organization.What You’ll DoRun weekly Agile meetings for your team of Political Data ManagersFacilitate communication within your team and with other WeVote teams: Community Outreach, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Social, Newsletter Team, Analytics & Ads, Research Team, Internship Program, RecruitingWork with individuals on the team to find tasks that fit each team member’s skill levelReview work product from the team and propose strategies for improving efficiencySupport and track all team members’ OKRs and Key Results; train team members unfamiliar with OKRsFollow up with contributors as deadlines approach, adjust schedules, and communicate changes to everyone else affected by delaysProvide brief reports in meetings via email and in your team newsletter about the status of key projectsWho you are: Must havesAt least 1–2 hours each week during our core team hours M–F 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.Wants to work with an established and successful team; committed to strengthening American DemocracyStrives for personal excellenceWillingness to work with and support other volunteersCurrently located in the US and able to work 1–2 hours overlapping with US PT per weekNot required, but nice to haveHelp maintain and add political data information to WeVote’s political databaseIf you can volunteer for more than 5 hours per week, there are other ways to get involved with WeVoteWhat You’ll GainOpportunity to touch the lives of millions of Americans and be part of a movement and product that will receive national attention.
