Requirements and responsibilities
Your team’s dynamic:Genetec is currently seeking a Technical Trainer. We are looking for a dynamic, responsive individual, able to work well in a fast-paced, lively environment. You will be responsible for delivering training on Genetec products at Genetec training locations and partner offices. When not teaching, you will be working from your home office preparing for future training sessions and updating existing training content. This position requires frequent travel within the assigned commercial territory, and occasionally overseas.What your day will look like:Deliver technical training to Genetec customers, resellers, distributors, and internal staffUpdate existing training material to reflect changes in new product releasesCreate training presentations, manuals, course outlines, and digital referencesContribute to improve training documentation and toolsMaintain a current, in-depth knowledge of Genetec’s products and functionalityParticipate in classroom setup, lab and exam grading, and course question follow-upFacilitate instructor-led technical courses using servers, clients, networks, and devicesFacilitate online instructor-led courses using a cloud-based virtual environment and LMSCommunicate course feedback to internal teams for process and product improvementEffectively convey technical understanding to different audiences, from users to administratorsMore about you:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience2+ years of experience delivering technical training, preferably software trainingWilling and able to travel to deliver training up to 75% of the timePossess exceptional presentation and presentation skillsProficient verbal and written communication in English, additional languages an assetTechnical requirements:Excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems and virtual machinesExcellent knowledge of networking principles and IP configurationExperience with database concepts and client-server environmentsExperience with technical troubleshooting methodsExperience with physical access control systemsExperience with video management systemsExperience with online training delivery, e-learning, and LMS platforms, an assetExperience with cloud-based technology and cybersecurity concepts, an assetLet’s talk perks!Attractive compensation package with 401K matchTraining Tuition Reimbursement ProgramWork-life balance with a flexible working scheduleStill not sure if you check every box, but think it’s worth a shot?
