Empowerly's co-founders, Hanmei and Changxiao, were also named in Forbes 30 Under 30 class of 2022.About the RoleCollege Admissions Researchers search through both our in-house database and the internet in order to assemble personalized sets of data to answer college admissions-related questions asked by our Empowerly students, parents, and counselors.ResponsibilitiesConduct research regarding college admissions as well as high school extracurricular opportunities; presenting personalized findings in a clear and comprehensive manner to each family.Analyze data from a variety of sources to compile neat, well thought-out advice for each high school family.Work collaboratively with the Research Manager, Empowerly families and counselors to routinely deliver thorough sets of findings. Update the team’s collective spreadsheets with each request in order to maintain a collaborative, up-to-date resource for the benefit of the whole team.Update the team’s collective spreadsheets with each request in order to maintain a collaborative, up-to-date resource for the benefit of the whole team.RequirementsFamiliarity with the U.S. education and college admissions systemExcellent command of the English languageCapable of working independently in a virtual environment– including the ability to self-supervise quality and routine 72 hour deadlinesWillingness to take the adequate time (~0.5 - 2.0 hours) to research each family’s request, and, if necessary, think adaptively in order to find and present alternative opportunitiesStrong command of G-Suite, or, a willingness to be taught G-Suite so as to be capable of meeting client expectationsWillingness to be responsive via email and SlackAI DisclaimerWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
