The Continuous Improvement Specialist at IMEC is responsible for initiating and maintaining relationships with manufacturers, assessing their challenges and opportunities, supporting IMEC consulting teams, and selling IMEC's manufacturing improvement capabilities and resources. This role involves providing direct consultation to manufacturers, preparing proposals, delivering sales presentations, managing project engagements, and developing and managing subcontractors. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience working with manufacturing companies, with a career progression that includes leadership responsibility. A Master's degree is preferred, with an emphasis in Engineering, Technology, Marketing, or Operations Management. The candidate should be sincerely interested in helping manufacturers implement new manufacturing techniques and processes, and must have good computer skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred. The position requires a combination of virtual work and regular travel, with occasional extended travel to remote facilities across the state. The candidate must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and capable of accessing manufacturing facilities which may not be ADA accessible. The role also involves a lifting requirement of up to 70 pounds.
