PDI is looking for new Associates to join their team. The position involves fabrication and assembly of new machines and repaired parts and equipment. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring proper function of equipment and parts when released to the Production department. The role requires technical expertise and the ability to repair and maintain production machine parts. The candidate should have knowledge of CNC machine operation, feature cam, and machine shop tools. The working conditions include standing for up to 7 hours per day, lifting up to 50 pounds, and handling and grasping up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities:
- Fabrication and assembly of fixtures and components for packaging and related equipment
- Support and assist Production department with technical expertise
- Repair and maintenance of production machine parts on an as required basis
- Assist Production and Maintenance departments with equipment repair
- Make necessary repairs to damaged or worn production equipment parts
- Continually seek improvements in the fabrication process and production machinery
- Support regular and consistent clean-up time on a weekly basis
- Support Liquid department and Warehouse with equipment repair
