OverviewWHO are we looking for?CAPTRUST is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join its Portfolio Strategist team. The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing transition strategies and implementing plans for newly integrated offices. The Portfolio Manager will drive smooth transitions of accounts into centralized investment strategies, establish and manage transition timelines, oversee initial relationships, and ensure adherence to defined strategy guidelines and client-specific constraints.From day one, you will have an impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our daily operations, and a lasting influence on our growth plans. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working with all levels of management to gain an in-depth understanding of our strategy and services. He/She/They will maintain the highest professional and ethical standards, be well-organized, service-oriented, collaborative, and accountable while performing under tight deadlines.This is a full-time position working Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate accounts and investment strategies to design and execute implementation plans that migrate accounts to centralized resources, ensuring compliance with stated strategy guidelines and client-specific restrictionsRespond to stakeholder inquiries and effectively articulate internal processes and strategic direction to key decision-makers, driving successful transitions to centralized resourcesDevelop, document, and review implementation proposals, ensuring all transitions comply with advisors and client requirements and constraintsClearly communicate plan and expectations to internal stakeholdersManage administrative changes for accounts in the CAPTRUST rebalancing and trading platformManage data integrity in the CAPTRUST rebalancing and trading platformCollaborate and communicate with the Mergers and Acquisitions Team, Integrations, Investment Group, Advisor teams, and Trading Teams regularlyReview and implement trades for accounts due to contributions, distributions, asset allocation changes, or other changes while ensuring the accounts are in line with the strategy after such events take placeAssist or run point on ad hoc requests within the team or from other teams as neededReview and maintain key performance data for the team to report on a quarterly basisQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:7-10+ years of professional experience in portfolio management or investment implementation within a wealth management or RIA environmentDemonstrated success executing portfolio transitions, implementation plans, or strategy migrations across client accounts with varying levels of complexityStrong understanding of asset allocation, investment strategies, and portfolio construction principlesProven experience evaluating portfolios against model strategy guidelines and client‑specific constraintsKnowledgeable in rebalancing and trading platforms, including account setup, administrative changes, and data integrity oversightAbility to communicate complex investment, risk, and portfolio information clearly and effectively to internal leadership and external partnersDesired Qualifications/SkillsExperience managing large‑scale transitions to centralized or model‑based investment strategiesAdvanced proficiency with rebalancing and portfolio management platforms (e.g., RedBlack, SS&C, Black Diamond, or similar enterprise systems)Ability to independently manage multiple transition timelines and priorities while meeting aggressive deadlinesExpertise in developing, reviewing, and executing investment implementation proposals and transition plans, including portfolio recommendations for internal stakeholders and advisor teamsProven capability in monitoring, maintaining, and delivering operational and performance metrics to leadership, with an emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and decision‑supporting insightsDemonstrated ability to succeed in a high‑growth, process‑driven, deadline‑oriented organizationAble to serve as a key point of contact during complex transitions, influencing outcomes without direct authorityHigh level of professionalism, attention to detail, and accountabilityWHAT can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?Our colleagues, like our clients, tend to stay with CAPTRUST for years.
