Ready to join us?About the RoleWe are seeking a Tech Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of a small engineering team while remaining hands-on in application development. This role is ideal for a working manager who can balance people leadership, technical oversight, and direct contribution to code, architecture, and DevOps.You will manage a team of 3-4 developers, work closely with the CTO, and guide both operational execution and technical excellence across the companys platforms.ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Management Lead, mentor, and support a team of 34 developers. Manage workflow, daily operations, sprint planning, prioritization, and task delegation. Ensure code quality, engineering best practices, and efficient development processes. Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development support to the team. Collaborate directly with the CTO on roadmap planning, technical strategy, and team needs.Hands-On Technical Contribution Contribute to platform development with an 80/20 focus on application development vs. DevOps. Work within the companys tech stack: PHP, Node.js, Vue 3, a small amount of Angular, PostgreSQL, all hosted in AWS. Review code, implement features, and help shape architectural decisions. Support AWS-based infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational reliability. Troubleshoot technical issues and identify long-term solutions.RequirementsAdvanced English proficiency (C1 or higher) with the ability to conduct complex technical conversations with minimal grammatical mistakes and a clear pronunciation.5+ years of software development experience, including leadership or mentoring responsibilities.Experience managing small development teams or operating as a working manager.Strong proficiency with the technologies used by the company: PHP (minor), Node.js, Vue 3, Angular (minor), PostgreSQL, AWS.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, modern development workflows, and DevOps practices.Strong problem-solving skills, architectural judgment, and ownership mindset.Ability to perform in a fully remote, fast-paced, outcome-driven environment.Additional InformationFull-time: 40 hours per weekContract Type: Independent contractorWork Hours: 9am to 5pm EST We Offer:💵 Compensation in USD💻 100% remote🚀 Work with a U.S. company making a real impact
