Peraton is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead and manage multiple concurrent projects, with a primary focus on continuously improving operations through IT, security, facility, procurement, business growth, and other project initiatives. TPM will serve as the central point of coordination across internal teams, procurement, and external vendors. This individual must be a self-starter with strong technical acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to influence without direct authority over staff engaged in project work.This selected individual will support our SafeGuard Services (SGS) team, a subsidiary of Peraton, which performs data analysis, investigation, and medical review, to detect, prevent, deter, reduce, and make referrals to recover fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare/Medicaid healthcare programs.What you'll do:Lead a portfolio of concurrent projects spanning IT, security, facility, procurement, business growth, and other project initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget, and in compliance with federal security requirements and audit standardsInitiate/facilitate/manage projects/changes to 100+ server on-premises IT environment, with potential migration to cloud, across multiple networks, two east-coast facilities, mailroom operations, and off-site archival storage — maintaining/enhancing continuity of service throughoutDefine project scope, schedules, resource plans, and success criteria; develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, issue logs, and status reports using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriateFacilitate project meetings, stakeholder briefings, and executive-level updates; monitor performance against baselines and proactively address risks and issuesOperate with a high degree of self-direction to continuously identify and initiate new projects by listening to functional managers and staff, reviewing costs and invoices for savings opportunities, monitoring the evolving risk landscape, and evaluating emerging technologiesSupport rigorous reevaluation and continuous improvement of IT systems, security controls, hardware/software, and business processes — with a focus on strengthening fraud, waste, and abuse detection and mitigation across Medicare/Medicaid programsLead proposal and capture activities to grow existing contract vehicles and pursue new business; collaborate with business development, technical, and operations teams to develop winning strategies for recompetes and new opportunitiesPartner with procurement to develop SOWs, RFPs, and contract requirements; evaluate vendor proposals and support source selectionReview vendor invoices against contract terms, authorized deliverables, and actual usage to validate charges, identify discrepancies, and ensure the organization is billed accurately and only for services renderedMonitor vendor performance against contractual obligations, SLAs, and deliverables to ensure accountability and quality; coordinate contract modifications, change orders, and renewals as neededTelework available from Central or Eastern time zonesResponsibilitiesQualificationsBasic qualifications:5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
