Maxana is hiring a Frontend Developer on behalf of a fast-growing digital health platform in the U.S. You'll join their product engineering team as a full-time contractor, building the user-facing experiences that help members manage their health journey. This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in Latin America, working U.S.-overlapping hours.DescriptionWhat you'll do:Build and maintain responsive, high-quality web interfaces for a consumer health platformTranslate designs and product requirements into clean, performant, accessible UICollaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers in an agile environmentWrite reusable components and contribute to the team's shared component libraryParticipate in code reviews and help maintain a high engineering barDebug, profile, and optimize frontend performance across devices and browsersRequirements3+ years of professional frontend development experienceStrong proficiency with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScriptSolid command of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principlesExperience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIsFamiliarity with modern build tooling and Git-based workflowsComfortable working in a fast-moving startup environmentStrong written and spoken English (daily collaboration with a U.S.-based team)Based in Latin America with reliable ability to work U.S.-overlapping hoursNice to have:Experience with Next.js or similar frameworksExperience in healthcare, wellness, or other regulated consumer productsFamiliarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)Experience with design systems and accessibility standards (WCAG)Benefits$2,200 – $2,800 USD/month, paid reliably in USDFully remote, long-term contract engagementDirect integration with a U.S. product team shipping quicklySupport from Maxana throughout your engagement
