Requirements and responsibilities

Role Overview: - You own Google Ads end to end for our clients, including building, launching, optimizing, and reporting. - This is not a button-pusher role. - You will be the person who decides what gets tested, what gets cut, and what the numbers mean when the client asks. - Our clients are owner-led home service businesses, such as roofing, concrete, HVAC, pools, and remodeling, typically with $1M–$3M in revenue. - Most clients have been burned by an agency that took their money and sent a dashboard, and you will be the opposite of that. Responsibilities: - Account setup: conversion tracking, GA4 and GTM wiring, call tracking, offline conversion imports, and geo and budget structure. - Campaign build: Search, Performance Max, Local Services Ads (LSA), and Demand Gen where it fits. - Keyword and audience strategy: research, match type discipline, and negative lists that are actually maintained. - Ad copy and assets: RSAs, sitelinks, callouts, and image and video assets for PMax. - Landing page collaboration: you flag the conversion problem, and our web team fixes it. - Daily and weekly optimization: bids, budgets, search terms, placement exclusions, and geo performance. - Budget management: pacing across accounts with no overspend surprises. - Reporting: monthly client-facing reporting through OvionD, plus a plain-English summary explaining what happened and why. - Client communication: occasional joining of client calls to walk through performance. Success Metrics: - Cost per qualified lead trending down quarter over quarter. - Conversion tracking accurate and verified on every account with no phantom conversions. - Zero budget overruns. - Clients can explain their own results after reading your report. - Accounts audited on a set cadence, not just when something breaks. Requirements: - 3+ years managing Google Ads with real budget responsibility. - Google Ads certification, including Search and Measurement at a minimum. - Fluency in GA4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking troubleshooting. - Experience with lead-gen accounts, not just e-commerce ROAS. - Comfortable with Google Ads Editor and bulk operations. - Ability to write ad copy that sounds like a human, not a template. - Clear written communication for explaining tradeoffs to business owners, not marketers. Preferred Qualifications: - Local service business experience, especially in home services. - Local Services Ads and Google Guaranteed setup experience. - CallRail or similar call tracking experience. - GoHighLevel familiarity. - Bing Ads or Meta Ads as a secondary channel. - Experience auditing accounts inherited from another agency. Tools Used: - Google Ads, GA4, GTM, Google Business Profile, GoHighLevel, OvionD, Local Falcon, BrightLocal, and Ahrefs.
