So, we decided to try running a "normal" shop - as opposed to one-day deals - to fully satisfy SA's need for quality sex toys any day of the week!About YouYou’re a recent business graduate looking for your start in the ecommerce space to test your newly acquired skills and get a taste of ALL things ecommerce. Although you may appear pleasant on the surface, the ugly truth is that you are a stickler for detail. You're more organised than a wedding planner and have a broad, entrepreneurial skillset to support multiple areas within the business.The E-Commerce Assistant will support online sales efforts by handling various tasks across different departments. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working across multiple teams to ensure the smooth operation of the ecommerce function.ResponsibilitiesProduct & Merchandising AssistanceBuying: Identify & evaluate new product and supplier opportunities to expand the product offering in line with overall business & marketing strategies.Supplier Management: Maintain supplier relationships and negotiate favourable supplier terms to ensure ONO remains highly competitive and differentiated in the market.Product Management: Source product assets from suppliers to create, update and maintain product listings ensuring accurate descriptions, images, pricing & categorisation while adhering to SEO best practices.SEO & Content: Responsible for uploading and optimizing product pages for SEO ensuring 100% accuracy.Inventory Management: Monitor and analyse inventory & sales data to accurately forecast orders, manage costs and maintain competitive pricing.Admin: Handle supplier accounts, collections, deliveries, stocktakes, resolve stock issues and courier claims.Product Promotions: Support marketing by selecting stock for deals, promotions & launches.Imports: Capable of coordinating import orders and shipments, dealing with international suppliers & sourcing product abroad. An understanding of international logistics and customs clearance process beneficial.Reporting & Analysis: Analyse product, category, and supplier performance to inform strategy, set targets and measure growth objectives.Trends & Research: Conduct product & market research to select the best product mix for ONO's target market and forecast trends to keep ONO at the forefront of the adult wellness revolution.Graphic Design: Proficiency in Canva or similar highly beneficialOperations AssistanceCustomer Service: Provide assistance to the CS team to resolve product, courier and customer queries to facilitate prompt order processing, returns, refunds and exchanges.Warehouse Admin: Ensure that all consumables remain fully stocked and supplied at the agreed qualityRequirements, Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.Experience in e-commerce or a similar environment (advantageous).Strong copywriting and communication skills with basic photo editing skills (non-negotiable).Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite and ecommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify and inventory management software).Advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.Basic knowledge of SEO and digital marketing is a plus.Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work with keen attention to detail.Positive attitude.Highly analytical.What You'll LoveWorking within a widely entrepreneurial, startup culture and supporting a variety of e-commerce functions, from marketing and merchandising to operations and admin.Staff discounts on top of ludicrously affordable products, and, if you play your cards right, you may have large quantities of free "samples" coming (excuse the pun) your way.
