Join us in shaping the future of buildings. 🎯 Role description: Legrand, one of our client, is seeking an innovative senior electrical engineer to support product design efforts in Syracuse, NY. The role involves designing and developing new and existing electrical products to increase market share and profitability. Key responsibilities include analyzing, testing, and providing technical support throughout the development process. 🔵 Requirements: ◽️ Bachelor of science in electrical/electronic engineering or electrical technology. ◽️ Strong experience and expertise in new product design. ◽️ Proficiency in analog/digital technology and C/C++ programming. ◽️ Expertise in component level circuit design and troubleshooting. ◽️ Competency in IoT and/or RF hardware development, including Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and FCC testing. ◽️ Proficient in Altium, SPICE simulation, and project management software. ◽️ Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. 🔵 Responsibilities: ◽️ Design, develop, analyze, and test electrical products according to customer and marketing specifications. ◽️ Create hardware, software, and firmware solutions for analog, digital, or mixed-signal technology. ◽️ Perform ancillary tasks such as reverse engineering, circuit simulation, PCB layout, and documentation. ◽️ Ensure timely development, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with third-party standards. ◽️ Provide technical support to production personnel and assist in design-for-manufacturability. ◽️ Fulfill additional duties as required. ✨ Benefits for this position: → Compensation: Competitive starting salary of $125,000+ (depending on experience) and an annual bonus incentive. → Work schedule: Hybrid work schedule (three days in the office, two days remote) and an option for a four-day workweek with three days off during the summer. → Intellectual property and innovation: Opportunity for patents and involvement in cutting-edge smart product innovation with strong project funding through LNCA subsidiary. → Financial and retirement: 401k plan with a generous 7% employer match. → Health and wellness: Comprehensive health, dental, and wellness benefits program. → Career development: Professional development opportunities, including tuition reimbursement and continuous training.
