Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Preparer & Office Manager with a foundational understanding of tax regulations and some office management experience. The candidate will prepare and submit individual and small-business tax returns, and manage daily office operations to ensure smooth workflow and a professional environment. Key Responsibilities: * Manage daily office operations, including scheduling appointments and maintaining office supplies. * Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication via phone, email, and in-person visits. * Organize and maintain efficient filing systems, both electronic and physical. * Oversee and maintain office equipment to ensure proper functioning. * Coordinate with vendors and service providers for office needs. * Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all office operations. * Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. * Assist clients with documentation for tax filings, conduct basic tax research, and address discrepancies. * Review financial records, including income statements and expenditures, while maintaining confidential tax records. Skills and Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in accounting or finance preferred. * 1-2 years of experience in tax preparation or a related field. * Previous experience in office management or administrative support is a plus. * Basic understanding of tax regulations and tax software (e.g., TurboTax, QuickBooks). * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
