The team works together with product, design, and other engineering partner teams to deliver and improve our experiences to help all students study and learn new information. We care deeply about the user experience and are laser focused on building the best mobile experience for learning.About the Role:You will work with a team of engineers working on our iOS and Android apps, focused on our core study modes, home navigation, or content features. In this role, you’ll partner closely with the engineers on your team and across the mobile space to build solutions that allow us to launch quickly and iterate while setting us up for future success. You’ll work with our Product, Design, and engineers from our backend and web teams, as well as ML engineers, to build features that are flexible, delightful, and powered by our cutting-edge recommendation systems. You will always be thinking about quality, observability, and how to level up our experience while also delivering for our immediate customer needs.We’re happy to share that this is an onsite position in our London office. To help foster team collaboration, we require that employees be in the office a minimum of three days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and as needed by your manager or the company. We believe that this working environment facilitates increased work efficiency, team partnership, and supports growth as an employee and organization.In this role, you will:Design, build, and maintain high quality mobile software that applies current industry best practicesCollaborate closely with product and other cross-functional partners to define requirements and deliver solutionsUnderstand and operate in our existing systems and proactively suggest improvements and new ideas based on industry best practicesDrive incident investigations, post mortems, and retrospectives and effectively advocate for long-term improvements to systems and processesInfluence within your team for the right engineering improvements to increase quality of our software, testing, and processesWhat you bring to the table:5+ years of experience in mobile software developmentStrong problem solving and debugging skills on mobile software productsProficiency in either Android or iOS development and some level of comfort with the other.Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new challengesExcellent verbal and written communication skills across a range of audiencesBonus points if you have:Experience with native Android, native iOS, and cross platform mobile development approaches.
