🔵 Your key contributions:
◽ Our senior software engineers play a pivotal role, encompassing a range of responsibilities to ensure the product's success. This includes conducting thorough analysis, designing efficient solutions, and actively participating in software development within a team. They are adept at error detection and correction, employing a systematic approach to verification and maintenance tasks. These activities are conducted within the established methods and standards defined within the engineering processes. They take a crucial role in providing technical mentorship to fellow team members. Leveraging their extensive expertise, they guide and support colleagues in understanding complex technical problems, best practices, and emerging technologies. This mentorship fosters a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge-sharing and skill development within the team. They actively collaborate with product managers and take ownership of technical solutions for specific feature development responsibilities and the overall product technical architecture with the perspective of project/product goals and customer needs. This collaboration covers effective communication, gathering functional requirements, and analyzing problems to identify technical requirements. By actively participating in discussions with product managers and the engineering team, they help shape the product roadmap and ensure that the technical aspects align with the overall product strategy.
🔵 What we're looking for:
◽ Expert professional experience in software development, including extensive background specializing in JavaScript development. A proven track record in full-stack product development for production environments with Vue.js, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
◽ In-depth experience with product development projects employing an agile software development life cycle and successful collaboration experience with product designers and managers.
◽ Proficiency in Test-Driven Development (TDD) or experience meeting high-level test coverage requirements.
◽ Competence with version control systems, including Git, and containerization with Docker.
◽ Hands-on experience with both MongoDB and SQL databases.
◽ Familiarity with NestJS is considered a plus.
◽ Knowledge and application of Typescript is a plus.
◽ Personally: You're curious, proactive, and driven.
◽ Start-up experience: You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, having ideally worked in a start-up previously. It's not for everyone.
◽ Flexibility: No two days will look the same, and given the global nature of our team and business, sometimes flexibility in working hours will be required. But that's a two-way street at Binalyze; you're also given the flexibility to work in the best way for you.
◽ Remote Working: Able to self-motivate and maintain high levels of productivity and engagement while working remotely and independently.
🔵 What you'll do:
◽ Responsible for continuously developing and maintaining software solutions to align with customer requirements within the existing system and codebase. This includes timely implementation of new features and bug fixes and refactoring various components.
◽ Involve in developing systems with a perspective to protect product stability through implementing and improving tests and participating in necessary activities to ensure seamless integration with components managed by other teams with the commitment to maintaining the functionality of existing features within their teams.
◽ Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues to investigate and resolve raised issues with cross-team efforts as needed.
◽ Work closely with multi-functional teams to handle tasks that align with organizational objectives.
◽ Address and troubleshoot product issues responsively reported by customers.
◽ Coach other engineers through practices like code review, pair programming, and technical planning.
◽ Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members to improve code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
◽ Encourage a collaborative environment through code review sessions, encouraging knowledge exchange and continuous improvement.
◽ Engage in pair programming sessions, working closely with team members to share insights, solve complex problems, and transfer knowledge, helping less experienced developers enhance their skills and understanding of best practices.
◽ Participate in technical analysis & planning sessions, offering insights into architectural decisions, technology choices, and best practices.
◽ Take complete ownership of projects from their initial stages through design to delivery.
◽ Demonstrate the ability to deliver independently with a strong foundation in technical expertise.
◽ Bring extensive technical experience, creative problem-solving skills, and a self-motivated approach to ensure successful project outcomes.
◽ Design, modify, implement, and document software application/architecture changes.
◽ Ensure that development progress, current issues, and risks are communicated with product/engineering management.
◽ Work at a fast pace and fail fast.
