Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a motivated working student to support the testing of modules and key components of Quantum Technologies for Space Applications. As a working student, you will be part of the Optical Instruments - Future Programs department and support the tests of a laboratory test setup. This is a great opportunity for a master student with a keen interest in space technologies and a high level of self-motivation. The role involves the partial assembly and test of a prototype quantum sensor head, as well as the preparation and execution of mechanical and thermal-vacuum tests. If you are currently enrolled in engineering or physics studies, have hands-on experience in laboratories, and are fluent in English, we encourage you to apply and take your career to a new level with Airbus Defence and Space. Responsibilities: - Prepare the required equipment for testing - Assemble key components for a sensor head including ultra-high vacuum technology and electro-mechanical as well as opto-mechanical components - Execute mechanical tests of components and sub-modules - Execute thermal-vacuum tests of the sensor head - Set up the EGSE (electrical ground support equipment) and OGSE (optical ground support equipment) for operation of the sensor - Document results and progress
