The Director AML Operations will play a vital role in the Compliance Department leading teams supporting day to day operational activities for Know Your Business and Watchlist Management. This candidate must be accustomed to a fast-paced environment and thinking creatively to solve groundbreaking/novel issues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead KYB Team of managers and analysts focused on evaluating risk of new clients at onboarding and ongoing on a risk-based periodic basis
- Lead Watchlist Management Team of managers and analysts focused on adjudicating sanctions, PEP and adverse media alerts
- Develop ongoing unusual activity monitoring practices
- Lead optimization of tools / technology to enable smart work
- Coach and mentor team
- Support ongoing audits and reviews
- Develop, amend (as needed) and implement policies, procedures, manuals, systems and training, where appropriate, due to changes in regulation, industry practice or otherwise
- Lead other compliance initiatives, as needed
