About the Role
As our Social Media Manager & Video Editor, you will be involved in content production and distribution across TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn. The founder records raw video. You turn it into content that stops scrolls, teaches something valuable, and builds a brand that home service business owners trust and follow.
You will own the content calendar, stay ahead of platform trends, track performance, and bring ideas to the table without being asked. You are a creative partner — not just an editor.
There is also a clear growth path. As Mettano scales into paid advertising, strong performers in this role will move into ad creative and campaign support. If that excites you — great. If you want to edit clips and disappear — this isn't the right fit.
Responsibilities
- Video Editing: Edit raw talking-head footage into polished short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Add captions, text overlays, transitions, and sound where appropriate. Every edit should be clean, on-brand, and built to perform.
- Trend Research: Stay on top of what is working on each platform week to week. Proactively bring hooks, formats, and content ideas to the founder before being asked.
- Content Calendar: Own the posting schedule across all platforms. Plan content at least one week ahead. Maintain consistent posting frequency with zero gaps.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor views, reach, saves, shares, and follower growth across platforms. Report weekly on what is working, what isn't, and what to do next.
- Communication: Daily work summaries. Weekly team check-ins. Async updates via Loom. Team communication via Slack.
What We're Looking For
- Proven Short-Form Experience: A portfolio of TikTok, Reels, Facebook, YouTube or LinkedIn video content you have edited and published. Real results — views, engagement, growth.
- Strong Editing Skills: Proficient in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Able to take raw footage and turn it into something people actually watch.
- Platform Native: You consume short-form content constantly. You know what a good hook looks like. You understand why some videos go viral and others don't.
- Creative and Proactive: You bring ideas. You don't wait to be briefed on every piece of content.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong written English for captions and copy. Clear, professional async communication is a must.
- Detail-Oriented: Captions are accurate. Overlays are timed correctly. Posts go out on schedule. Every time.
- Growth-Minded: Motivated to learn paid ad creative and grow with the agency as we scale.
