Job DescriptionJoin the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are looking for Japanese Language Teachers to provide online customized lessons to groups of clients, remotely.We are seeking an engaging, energetic and dedicated Japanese Language Instructor to lead small group classes virtually. This role focuses on designing and delivering topic-focused, 30-minute lessons that help students understand Japanese culture and navigate everyday life in Japan, creating an interactive and supportive environment where learners can build confidence and feel more comfortable in their new country.Key responsibilities:Plan and deliver dynamic, topic-focused lessons for small groups (typically 3-8 students)Create lessons centered on real-life situations (e.g., healthcare, transportation, shopping, body language, and community resources) to support students adjusting to life in a new countryFoster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environmentQualifications:Japanese Native, preferably living in Japan OR very in tune with life in Japan at this momentStrong English communication skills requiredPrior teaching or tutoring experience (at least 2 years)Proficiency with technology, including virtual teaching platforms, presentation tools, and basic troubleshootingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to engage small groups and personalize instructionCultural awareness, especially in working with newcomers and businesspeopleTeaching certification (preferred but not required)Work Environment:Small group classesPart time (morning and evening sessions)OnlineAll Global LT instructor positions are freelance positions.
