Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced FTL Truck Dispatcher with strong truck sourcing and negotiation skills. This role is not just operational; we are looking for someone who understands Full Truckload logistics at a broker level, can negotiate effectively with carriers, and knows how to match the right truck to the right freight based on load specifications. This position is critical to ensuring profitable load coverage, strong carrier relationships, and seamless execution. Key Responsibilities: • Source and secure FTL trucks for assigned loads using load boards and established carrier networks. • Negotiate rates directly with carriers to maximize margin while maintaining service quality. • Evaluate and match equipment type to freight specifications (dry van, reefer, flatbed, step deck, etc.). • Assess load requirements, including weight, dimensions, commodity type, special handling, temperature control, and transit time. • Analyze market conditions and lane rates to negotiate competitively. • Dispatch drivers and coordinate full lifecycle execution of FTL shipments. • Proactively manage delays, accessorials, and operational challenges. • Track shipments and provide accurate real-time updates. • Maintain precise documentation in TMS/CRM systems. • Build and maintain strong long-term carrier relationships. Requirements: • Proven experience in dispatching and negotiating FTL loads. • Strong understanding of Full Truckload operations in the U.S. market. • Hands-on experience using load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.). • Ability to negotiate trucks based on equipment type, freight characteristics, lane, and market conditions. • Strong commercial mindset, ability to think like a broker, not just an operator. • Excellent spoken English (advanced fluency required). • Strong negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills. • Highly organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Reliable internet connection and remote work setup.
