Requirements and responsibilities

About Inception Point AIInception Point AI is a media-tech company building the next generation of AI-powered personalities, shows, and content brands. We blend cutting-edge AI tools with storytelling, design, and production discipline to create scalable, high-quality content across YouTube, social platforms, and podcasts. Our work sits at the intersection of creativity, automation, and entertainment — and we’re building systems that allow great ideas to move fast.Role OverviewAs the Vice President of Product, you will be the bridge between our technical organization and the business, owning the vision for the product of the future. A strategic leader, you understand how to translate business goals into a tangible build while living on the cutting edge of the AI frontier. This is not a role for a standard project manager; we need a visionary who can redefine what product development looks like in an era of AI-enabled coding and rapid evolution.Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for breaking down silos, building organizational buy-in, and evolving how product discovery works in an agent-driven development environment—aligning our creative and technical teams around clear product intent, rapid experimentation, and continuous learning. As the company’s primary product leader, you will have the autonomy to make independent product decisions while working closely day-to-day with engineering to translate product intent into shippable iterations.ResponsibilitiesProduct Vision & Strategy: Define the long-term product vision and prioritize where to invest product effort, ensuring our product direction aligns creative ambition, technical possibility, and long-term company value.Discovery & Innovation: Lead ambient product discovery, synthesizing signals from creative and technical teams to identify promising opportunities and place early bets toward product-market fit.Feeding the Development Beast: Efficiently manage the product backlog and ticketing to keep pace with high-velocity, AI-enabled engineering cycles.Cross-Functional Diplomacy: Liaise between the creative team and the engineering team to build trust and alignment.Organizational Methodology: Build and maintain the "engine" that keeps the company on track, bringing order to a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Stakeholder Engagement: Navigate the diverse priorities and perspectives of the CAIO, CEO, and a media-focused creative organization.Product Operations & Execution: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle in a small team environment—including testing, rollout coordination, release communication, and early (internal only) user support—ensuring features ship smoothly and feedback quickly informs the next iteration.QualificationsThe ideal candidate is a high-EQ leader who has already "made the leap" to an AI-first mindset and thrives in the productive chaos of an early-stage startup.RequiredBackground: 10+ years of Product Management experience, during which you have led teams, worked closely with executive leadership, and established yourself as a “Get Stuff Done” Product Leader.Strategic Planning: Experience defining product direction, adapting roadmaps as conditions change, clearly communicating tradeoffs and timelines, and establishing meaningful performance metrics.AI Fluency: Must be currently working in or deeply knowledgeable about the AI landscape; we need someone operating at the frontier, not someone just beginning to learn what AI can do.Executive Presence: Experience navigating and influencing executive-level stakeholders with the diplomacy required to lead change management.Technical Chops: Sufficient technical depth to earn the respect of and keep up with elite engineers and AI developers, even if not a former developer yourself.Operational Excellence: A strong organizational methodology and the ability to turn the chaos of startupland into structured, actionable plans.Dynamic Mindset: Comfortable operating as the sole product leader in a fast-moving environment where process is evolving and experimentation is constant.PreferredDomain Expertise: Experience in scaled content production, social commerce, or live streaming environments.Technical Background: Formerly a Software Engineer or possessing a deep understanding of data infrastructure and AI orchestration.Remote Culture Building: Experience building remote-first product cultures and fostering levity and fun within a distributed team. What Success Looks LikeWithin 30 Days: You will have begun building relationships with the Leadership Team, AI developers, and others company-wide.Within 60 Days: You will have established a predictable "feeding" rhythm for engineering and gained early trust from the creative organization.Within 90 Days: You will have defined the product's North Star, secured buy-in on the long-term product vision, and solidified the "Tech Org" as a unified, winning team.Within 1 Year: You will have scaled the product organization to support a world-class media-tech engine, contributing to the company's trajectory toward a category-defining valuation. Why This Role is ExcitingBuild on the Frontier: We are first-movers, deploying the newest tools (like Clawd bots) and surfing the edge of what is possible in AI.A Team of Teammates: You will be surrounded by high-performing, committed, supportive, dedicated colleagues who share an understanding that the work we do is hard and we should treat one another with respect.Zero Bureaucracy: This is an early-stage environment where you won't be encumbered by corporate review cycles or rigid job descriptions.Defining a Category: You have the rare opportunity to sell "cars to people on horse-drawn carriages" and define how the world consumes digital personalities.Redefining the PDLC: You will have the ability to shape the standards of product development in an agent-driven world where rework is less expensive than specifying everything up front.A Note on How We BuildThis is not a traditional product organization. Our engineering team operates in an agent-driven development environment where iteration cycles are measured in hours rather than weeks, and product insight comes from shipping something and reacting to it. The right candidate is excited by this reality. You will not inherit a fixed product process – you will help evolve one alongside engineering. Success in this role requires comfort with ambiguity, a bias toward making decisions, and the ability to translate high-level intent into rapid product evolution.
