Requirements and responsibilities


Position Overview The IT Data Center Engineer will oversee, maintain, and optimize the company’s data center infrastructure. This includes hands-on management of IP networking (Layer 2/3), Cisco and FortiGate equipment, KVM virtualization, CentOS/Ubuntu systems, and Lenovo server hardware. Key Responsibilities Network Management Configure and manage IP networks (Layer 2 and Layer 3). Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers (1921 series) and FortiGate routers. Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco switches. Server & Systems Management Install, configure, and maintain KVM virtualization environments. Manage and support CentOS and Ubuntu server systems. Maintain and troubleshoot Lenovo servers. Data Center Operations Ensure data center security, reliability, and compliance. Monitor data center performance and resolve issues proactively. Execute regular backups and recovery operations. Maintain documentation of network and server configurations. Technical Support Provide technical support for network, server, and data center issues. Collaborate with IT team members to resolve complex incidents. ​Stay current with new technologies and industry best practices. Requirements Experience 3–5+ years of IT data center operations experience. English – C1 level or higher (mandatory) Proven experience with Layer 2/3 networking. Hands-on experience with Cisco 1921 routers and FortiGate routers. Proficiency with Cisco switches. Strong experience with KVM, CentOS, and Ubuntu. Familiarity with Lenovo server hardware. Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Able to work independently and collaboratively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
