About the role:
- We are looking for a Solutions Engineer who pairs sharp technical judgment with excellent communication.
- You will review business messaging integrations (WhatsApp Cloud API and Apple Messages for Business).
- You will decide what is ready for production.
- You will guide partners to pass review on the first attempt, all while preserving the client relationship.

Responsibilities:
- Review partner source code, API endpoints, Postman collections, and logs to confirm integrations are built to spec.
- Evaluate UX across interactive message types (List Picker, Time Picker, Apple Pay, Authentication, Forms, Rich Links, agent handoff).
- Assess integration design (webhooks, idempotency, retries, rate limits, observability) and security (JWT, signature verification, secret storage).
- Score work against a documented rubric and issue clear verdicts: approve, approve with fixes, or reject.
- Give specific remediation guidance and guide partner engineering teams through revision cycles.
- Act as technical lead for several concurrent clients, brief founders on status, and escalate only what truly needs them.
- Own and extend our specifications (JSON schemas, OpenAPI, checklists, conformance matrix), translating Apple’s guidelines into testable requirements.
- Keep partner reviews and unreleased Apple roadmap items strictly confidential.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in solutions engineering, technical program management, or integration consulting.
- Client-facing experience, ideally with US companies.
- Experience with business messaging APIs and review processes (WhatsApp Cloud API, webhooks, template review, policy enforcement).
- Proficiency with Postman or similar tools to validate third-party integrations.
- Ability to read unfamiliar code and pinpoint defects by file and line.
- Ability to write clear standards, scored findings, and remediation plans.
- Judgment to tell a working integration from one users actually want, and to reject submissions while preserving the relationship.
- Ability to ramp up on Apple’s messaging APIs and UX standards within 30 days.
- Strong spoken and written English.
Stand-outs:
- Exceptional American business English and prior experience at a US company.
- Strong code-reading skills.
Nice-to-haves:
- Startup experience.
- Background at a Meta Business Solution Provider, Tech Provider, or Apple MSP.
- Experience with Apple Messages for Business or on-device testing (XCUITest, AppleScript).
- Experience owning a certification, compliance, or quality gate function.
- Experience evaluating AI/LLM agents or automating tests for conversational flows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
