Requirements and responsibilities

We are looking for another brilliant news editor as we continue to expand the Daily Beast operation out of London. We need someone with a sharp news sense, punchy, tabloid sensibility, the skill to write hilarious and piercing headlines, and the shrewdness to outsmart Trump’s army of lawyers. It is a lot to ask, so we are looking for an experienced news editor with their own ideas, who is used to working on in-depth investigations and exclusives. The salary range is £70,000 to £90,000, and the work is remote. One of the exciting things happening at the Daily Beast is our push into new ways of telling stories. And this new editor will be part of the growing Substack team as well as a member of the main news desk.
