This role drives early adoption of MISUMI components, digital tools, and engineering workflows by engaging directly with students, faculty, and academic programs.You will enable the next generation of engineers by supporting design projects, delivering hands-on workshops, and embedding MISUMI solutions into engineering education. This is a highly visible, field-facing role requiring strong technical expertise, communication, and a passion for developing future engineers.What You'll Be DoingOwn and manage relationships across a defined portfolio of universities, serving as MISUMI’s primary point of contact Develop and maintain partnerships with professors, lab staff, and student organizations (e.g., robotics, Formula SAE, capstone teams) Create and execute engagement plans for each institution, including workshops, curriculum integration, and project support Drive sustained engagement by identifying new opportunities and expanding MISUMI presence within each university Act as a trusted technical advisor on component selection, system design, and MISUMI tools Track and report on university engagement, adoption, and relationship development outcomes Build multi-level relationships within each institution to ensure long-term program continuityAll employees are expected to maintain and contribute to the QMS.Required Qualifications and Desired TraitsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 2–5 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, or design engineeringProficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearlyExperience working with student teams, academic programs, or training environments is a plusPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of
