Role SummaryThe customer is looking for an experienced Hexagon J5 Configuration Specialist to support their J5application environment for fertilizer plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesWork as a J5 configuration specialist for the customer’s J5 application environment.Configure and enhance J5 modules based on business and plant operations requirements.Work across different J5 modules such as logbook, shift handover, forms, workflows, operatorrounds, incidents, standing orders, and related operational modules.Understand functional requirements from business users and convert them into J5 configurationchanges.Coordinate directly with different stakeholders at the customer end, including business users, plantoperations teams, IT teams, and project stakeholders.Work independently without requiring day-to-day handholding.Support J5 functional enhancements, change requests, and configuration updates.Assist with J5 integrations with other enterprise or plant systems as required.Troubleshoot configuration, functional, and integration-related issues.Support testing, UAT, deployment validation, and post-implementation support.Prepare or update configuration documentation, functional notes, and handover documents whererequired.Provide clear status updates and proactively highlight risks, blockers, or dependencies.Required SkillsMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Hexagon J5.Strong experience in J5 configuration and functional enhancement work.Experience across multiple J5 modules.Good understanding of plant operations, preferably in the fertilizer industry.Ability to independently understand user requirements and configure J5 accordingly.Experience coordinating with business and technical stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work remotely and independently as a single resource.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to manage priorities, track open items, and drive tasks to closure.Good to Have SkillsExperience in fertilizer, petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, refinery, or process manufacturingenvironments.Exposure to integrations with ERP, EAM, historian, SCADA, DCS, or other plant applications.Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, web services, or database connectivity.Experience preparing functional specifications, configuration documents, test cases, and usersupport documentation.
