This role is designed for a physician who is interested in a low-time-commitment, high-impact opportunity supporting quality, safety, and compliance across the state.This is a flexible, remote, 2-5 hours per month contract role (1099 or similar arrangement) with minimal required hours and primarily virtual engagement.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Part Time Medical Director to join our team of healthcare professionals. This individual will perform a variety of duties, including providing clinical supervision and oversight for nurse practitioners delivering infusion services in ambulatory infusion settings. This role is designed for a physician who is interested in a low-time-commitment, high-impact opportunity supporting quality, safety, and compliance across the state.ResponsibilitiesProvide required physician supervision for nurse practitioners in accordance with state regulations in GeorgiaConduct quarterly (at minimum) virtual meetings with supervised nurse practitioners to:Review clinical casesProvide guidance and mentorshipEnsure adherence to clinical protocols and standards of carePerform periodic chart reviews and quality assurance checksBe available on an as-needed basis for clinical consultationCollaborate with clinical leadership to support:Ongoing quality improvement initiativesProtocol development and updatesCompliance with regulatory and payer requirementsMaintain appropriate documentation of supervisory activities as required by the stateRequirementsActive GA MD license and DEA licenseBoard certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, or Neurology strongly preferred)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and educate patients and their familiesWillingness to participate in ongoing training and professional developmentCommitment to ethical and legal healthcare deliveryWhat It's Like to Work at Local InfusionTo see a list of our open roles, click here
