Our content is engaging and interactive, and the Mathspace system adapts to student proficiency while providing a wealth of data for educators to guide their students' growth to complete mastery.We are embarking on an exciting project to develop comprehensive digital textbooks for the Victorian Curriculum K-6 Mathematics. We're seeking an experienced primary educator to lead this initiative on a 6 to 12-month remote contract, overseeing content creation and ensuring our materials meet the highest standards of curriculum alignment and pedagogical quality.This is a unique opportunity for someone who combines deep expertise in the Victorian primary mathematics curriculum with a passion for leveraging modern tools (including AI) to transform how educational content is developed and delivered.The role will involve:Leading the development of K-6 mathematics textbook content aligned to the Victorian Curriculum from planning through to completionOverseeing content creation workflows and coordinating with internal team membersConducting thorough reviews of all content to ensure rigorous alignment with Victorian Curriculum content descriptions, achievement standards, and proficiency strandsProviding specific, actionable feedback that enables the internal team to make precise edits and maintain world-class quality standardsChampioning the use of AI tools throughout the content development process to maximise productivity and qualityContinuously improving team processes and workflows by identifying opportunities to integrate new AI capabilitiesEnsuring consistency in pedagogical approach, mathematical rigour, and developmental progression across all materialsRequirementsExtensive experience teaching primary mathematics (K-6) in Victorian schoolsDeep understanding of the Victorian Curriculum: Mathematics, including content descriptions, achievement standards, and the proficiency strands (Understanding, Fluency, Problem Solving, Reasoning)Familiarity with Victorian Curriculum 2.0 updatesStrong familiarity with current AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and a genuine enthusiasm for using them to enhance productivityExcellent attention to detail and ability to provide clear, specific feedback on contentStrong organisational and communication skillsAbility to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlinesA collaborative and team-oriented approachNice to havesExperience in project management, publishing, or educational content developmentFamiliarity with primary mathematics curricula in other Australian states (e.g. NSW Syllabus, Australian Curriculum)Experience with digital learning platforms or ed-tech environmentsExperience with LaTeX or mathematical typesettingA basic understanding of codingBenefitsContribute to a world-class learning resource that is transforming the future of maths education worldwideFully remote role with flexible working hoursShape the Victorian primary offering for a product used by hundreds of thousands of students globallyWork with a team that embraces innovation and cutting-edge technology
