The Sr. Qualitative Strategist drives qualitative excellence by fostering strong client relationships, overseeing project and program scoping, and leading projects through execution. You enjoy exploring new technology, helping clients to understand how to activate on their insights.Here’s what you’ll be doing and the qualifications we are looking for:Responsibilities and ExpectationsQualitative Services TeamAdhere to CMB’s defined approaches, processes, and best practicesContribute to CMB's culture of innovation and thought leadershipTake advantage of training and development opportunitiesContribute to a team and/or committee for ongoing CMB initiativesFollow CMB- and client-specific Information Security PoliciesEnsure end-to-end department/client/project delivery in alignment with Sales & Account Management leading to high client satisfaction with project deliverablesParticipate in peer reviews in a timely mannerOn ProjectsEstablishes and nurtures consultative relationships with existing clients, vendors, moderators, peers, senior staff, and other teamsDemonstrates confidence in client interactions and communicationsOwns discussion guide writing, moderating interviews, analysis, and reportingLeads analysis of results and develops engaging, insightful, creative, and customized deliverables and presents to the clientOversees creation of the screener and recruiting management as neededEffectively communicates with other project team members and external resourcesAnticipates and identifies project problems and finds solutions independentlyPresents a CMB University case study annuallyQualitative Proposals & Relationship ManagementWrite proposals for stand-alone projects and contribute to proposals that have qualitative element (e.g., content, methodology, pricing)Partner with assigned Practice Leader/Account Director to meet established goals (e.g., sales, client satisfaction, client/product/project profitability, team efficiency, talent mentorship)Partner with Practice Leader/Account Director & Business Development to meet sales goals for both new and existing clients, as assignedPartner with Practice Leaders, Account Owners, Qualitative and Client Services team members to grow, nurture, and develop key client accounts through relationship building and thought leadership/oversight on qualitative research project executionPartner with Qualitative Operations to ensure the research deliverables meet client needs and CMB profitability targetsQualitative Project OperationsVet and manage external contract moderators, domestic and internationalActively manage the external contract moderators by continuously measuring and discussing performance, providing mentoring and coaching feedback, and creating development opportunities for team membersOther Essential DutiesStays abreast of industry trends, seeks out and brings new techniques and willing to apply them to projects as appropriatePartners with the Product Development & Innovation team to support their lead on Qualitative operationalization of new tech toolsOther duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Market-Research, Anthropology, Behavioral Psychology or related fieldUnderstanding of qualitative market research methodsMinimum of 10 years' work experience in market researchMinimum 7 years of professional market research experience or demonstrated success as a Qualitative Consultant at CMBExcellent analytical skills and the ability to synthesize findings from disparate sourcesExcellent at establishing and managing relationships with clients, vendors and coworkersAbility to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with limited supervisionExcellent at establishing and managing relationships with clients, vendors and coworkersIs detail-oriented and can work on multiple projects at a timeSkilled in Microsoft Office software environmentSense of humor and self-awareUtilization GoalsThe typical utilization goal for this role is 40-60%Travel20% - 40% travelThe annual base salary range for this position is $114,400-$130,000 plus bonus, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). The base salary is dependent on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) experience, expertise, skills, and employee's location.
