This is a relationship-first role — the ideal candidate is a strategic account manager who has developed fluency in how carriers and logistics networks operate, not someone who has spent their career working inside them.As Shippo has expanded internationally, this person will be the key commercial owner of our carrier partnerships — managing compliance, contract performance, and day-to-day cross functional collaboration internally and externally — while helping shape our EU/UK carrier strategy alongside senior leadership.Shipping & handling responsibilitiesOwn the day-to-day commercial relationships with EU/UK carrier partners, including Royal Mail, DPD, Evri, and others as the network growsIdentify opportunities for expansion with our existing portfolio of carriersManage contract compliance, rate monitoring, and performance tracking across your carrier portfolioHandle escalations and issue resolution, operating as the bridge between carrier contacts and internal teams (Product, Engineering, Support, and Sales)Identify and surface commercial and compliance risks proactively, driving resolution before issues escalateParticipate in carrier QBRs, partner introductions, and new product scoping conversationsMaintain accurate documentation for carrier agreements, integration requirements, and operating proceduresWork closely with the Director and above to align priorities with broader Carrier Partnerships strategyYour shipping requirements3–5 years of experience in partner management, account management, or commercial partnerships — preferably in logistics, e-commerce, or SaaSBackground in strategic relationship management, not operations — you understand how carrier networks work without having built your career inside themExperience with EU or UK carriers and familiarity with international logistics dynamics and cross-border complianceExperience working with commercial agreements and building relationships within large organizationsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently across time zonesClear, confident communicator with both technical and commercial stakeholdersProactive problem-solver who drives issues to resolution without losing the strategic threadModerate technical fluency — comfortable with API documentation and able to support technical discussions when neededOur Compensation Ship policy:We believe compensation is a custom experience and are commited to fair and equitable compensation practices.
