Our team is made up of seasoned consultants, trained at organizations such as McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Bain, Big 4 Strategy, and elite educational institutions.The OpportunityArtemis has a public sector client looking for a Consultant for a 12 month engagement (with possibility to extend). This role is remote but there may be some travel to Washington DC required. The scope of this effort will include, but is not limited to, program management, stakeholder engagement, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, to support implementation of a Healthcare and Benefits Act.Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise & Portfolio Delivery OwnershipOwn scope, schedule, dependencies, risk, and delivery outcomes across multiple workstreamsEstablish and operate integrated delivery and portfolio management systemsDrive accountability for measurable results, not just milestonesSenior Stakeholder EngagementInterface regularly with CORs, program executives, contracting officers, and senior federal leadershipProvide executive-ready reporting, issue escalation, and risk mitigationTranslate complex federal healthcare priorities into structured delivery plansPolicy to Execution TranslationTranslate legislation, policy mandates, and program objectives into structured implementation plansIntegrate clinical, operational, acquisition, and analytics initiativesEnsure compliance with federal oversight and reporting standardsData Driven Delivery & AdoptionUse KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to guide decisionsImplement governance structures that ensure visibility and accountabilityDrive adoption across operational stakeholders and ensure sustained outcomesRisk & Integration ManagementIdentify cross-program risks early and implement mitigation strategiesCoordinate across primes, subcontractors, and internal federal teamsEnsure integration across clinical, operational, and acquisition initiativesScope of Work May IncludeEnterprise program and portfolio managementHealthcare modernization and acquisition transformation initiativesMonitoring, evaluation, and performance reportingImplementation of healthcare and benefits-related legislationDevelopment of governance frameworks and executive dashboardsRequired Qualifications6-10+ years of relevant experience in program, portfolio, or enterprise delivery leadershipPrior federal healthcare experience requiredDemonstrated experience planning, initiating, managing, executing, and closing out programs in support of an integrated healthcare systemExperience operating directly with federal CORs and senior agency leadershipProven ability to own and deliver complex, multi-workstream initiativesExperience designing and running delivery and governance systemsMaster’s degree or higherProject Management certification (e.g., PMP) requiredAbility to obtain and maintain required federal security clearancePreferred QualificationsVA / VHA experience strongly preferredExperience supporting acquisition reform or federal healthcare modernization initiativesBackground in healthcare operations, informatics, or healthcare supply chainConsulting experience preferredStrong executive communication and stakeholder alignment skillsWho You Are Comfortable operating with senior federal leaders and contracting authoritiesOutcome-oriented and accountable for results, not just coordinationStructured thinker who can bring order to complex federal environments
