Job Title: Part-Time Pharmacy Prior Authorization SpecialistRate: $30-35/hourSchedule: Part-Time, Fully RemoteAbout the RoleWe're a growing health data startup looking for a detail-oriented professional to help us review and categorize clinical prior authorization (PA) policy documents for high-cost specialty medications, including biologics. This is not a patient-facing or PA processing role. Instead, you'll be reading payer policy documents and recording coverage requirements into structured fields. This role is best for someone who enjoys careful document review, is highly consistent, and can work independently.ResponsibilitiesReview PA policy documents for specialty drugs.Categorize requirements using structured definitions.Record results accurately.Flag unclear or ambiguous cases.Maintain consistency and accuracy across a large volume of documents.What You'll Need1+ year of experience in pharmacy, pharmacy benefits, or prior authorization (specialty pharmacy a plus).Bachelors degree in health sciences, pharmacy, or related field, or equivalent experience in pharmacy or prior authorization.Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, drug names (brand/generic), and prior authorization requirements.Proficiency in Google Sheets and basic computer skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow structured instructions.Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.Registered pharmacy technician.Nice to HaveCertified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)3+ years experience in pharmacy or prior authorizationsWhat Were Looking ForSharp attention to detail and consistency.Strong written communication skills.Self-starter comfortable in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
