Community Manager | Social Media, DMs & Design
Somia | Full-time contractor | Remote | Colombia
About the role
Somia is looking for a full-time Community Manager based in Colombia to own day-to-day social engagement across three core accounts. This role combines social media management, DMs and comments, lead engagement and conversion, content publishing, and social media graphic design.
You should be equally comfortable having a natural sales conversation in a DM and turning approved content into a polished carousel or story asset. Strong Canva and social design skills are required; experience with Figma, Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is valuable.
This is not a membership-community moderation role. It is a social-first role at the point where content, conversation, audience engagement and sales meet.
What you’ll own
DMs, comments and lead conversion
Own daily DMs and comments across three social accounts.
Respond promptly to story replies, comments, questions and people showing interest in Somia’s work.
Recognize buying signals, answer routine pre-sale questions and guide interested people toward the appropriate offer or next step.
Follow up on promising conversations and use thoughtful outreach where appropriate.
Monitor recent posts, not just the newest post, so questions and leads are not missed.
Know when a conversation should stay in social, move toward a purchase, or be handed to customer support or another team member.
Social media management and publishing
Manage the day-to-day execution of approved social content across the three accounts.
Schedule and publish posts, stories and campaign assets using the team’s content calendar and social media tools.
Support Q&As, story conversations and other interactive social content after publication.
Track what has been published, what needs engagement follow-up and what is still moving through production.
Report recurring audience questions, objections, themes and sales/conversion patterns back to the content and marketing team.
Social media design
Create polished social graphics, carousels, stories, Q&A assets and campaign graphics.
Turn approved content briefs and final copy into strong social-first layouts rather than generic templates.
Use strong typography, spacing, hierarchy, composition, colour and brand consistency.
Design for mobile readability and create cohesive multi-slide carousels and campaign asset sets.
Create and maintain reusable Canva templates and components.
Use Canva confidently and work with Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or similar tools when useful.
What we’re looking for
Hands-on experience managing social media accounts, including DMs and comments, not just creating content.
Experience using private messaging as part of marketing, lead engagement or sales without becoming pushy.
A strong portfolio of social media or digital design work, especially carousels, branded campaigns and content-led graphics.
Strong Canva skills and solid design fundamentals.
Comfort with Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or comparable design tools.
Experience with social media scheduling and management tools such as Meta Business Suite, Metricool or similar.
Excellent written English and the ability to match an established brand voice in short, natural conversations.
Responsive, organized and proactive, with strong follow-through.
Experience in health, wellness, education, coaching, creator businesses or online programs is helpful but not required.

What success looks like
DMs and comments are handled consistently and important conversations do not sit unattended.
Recent posts continue to be monitored so questions, leads and useful conversations are not lost.
Interested people receive helpful answers and are moved naturally toward the right offer when there is a fit.
Social assets are polished, on brand and ready to publish without significant cleanup.
The three accounts feel connected and actively managed rather than operating as separate inboxes.
The marketing team receives useful feedback about audience questions, objections, themes and sales conversations.
