Your Role:
As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will be part of a 6-person squad focused on delivering secure, scalable features across both backend services and mobile experiences. A strong background in React Native is essential for success in this mobile-first product.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and scale backend services in Node.js and TypeScript.
* Contribute to React Native features across iOS and Android.
* Design secure, testable, cloud-native systems on AWS (DynamoDB, GraphQL future).
* Collaborate with squad leads on architecture and product design.
* Support trust, safety, and member experience through strong engineering.
* Participate in AM/PM standups across global time zones.
* Ensure stability and performance at multi-million user scale.
Requirements:
* 8+ years of software engineering experience, with backend depth in Node.js and TypeScript.
* Experience with mobile-first products using React Native.
* Strong AWS knowledge including DynamoDB, microservices, and serverless patterns.
* Background working on scaled consumer products (social, marketplace, or H2H apps).
* Clear English communication for distributed, asynchronous collaboration.
* Collaborative mindset, open to feedback, and adaptable to team approaches.
* Alignment with progressive, sex-positive product values.
Bonus Points:
* Familiarity with GraphQL.
* Experience with personalization, recommendation, or matching algorithms.
* Work in trust/safety engineering or security-first squads.
* API design that balances performance and user experience.
