Responsibilities

Portcast is already trusted by global freight forwarders, manufacturers, and cargo airlines. Marketing is how we tell that story to the rest of the industry, fill the pipeline, and make our product impossible to ignore. We want a Marketing Director who can do both: set the strategy and roll up their sleeves to ship it.Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the marketing function end to end and lead a lean team consisting of a Growth Marketing Manager and a Content Marketing Manager. This is not a role where you inherit a large organization or simply review campaigns. Product Marketing will be your primary area of ownership. You'll partner closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions to launch new capabilities, refine our positioning, build compelling messaging, and equip our commercial teams with the assets they need to win. You'll also own our events strategy, deciding where Portcast shows up and ensuring every event creates measurable business impact.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building. You are comfortable switching between strategic planning and hands-on execution, thrive in fast moving startup environments, and naturally take ownership without waiting for direction. You're curious about our domain, excited by AI, and enjoy learning the nuances of logistics and supply chains to tell better product stories.ABOUT THE ROLEOwn the marketing function end to end and lead a lean team (Growth Marketing Manager and Content Marketing Manager).Set strategy and execute: partner with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions to launch capabilities, refine positioning, build messaging, and equip commercial teams.Own events strategy: decide where Portcast shows up and ensure measurable business impact.WHAT YOU’LL OWNMarketing strategy and direction: Take company goals and what the CEO, Sales, and Product need, translate into a clear, prioritized marketing plan and measurable quarterly marketing plans contributing to pipeline growth, customer expansion, or brand awareness.Product marketing: Own product marketing strategy from positioning through launch execution; build sales enablement materials, competitive positioning, customer stories, and launch plans; drive the launch process, challenge whether the right story is being told, and ensure great product work doesn’t go unnoticed.Event marketing: Decide which events to attend or sponsor each quarter; own organizer outreach and logistics; make sure you show up where buyers are.Cross Functional Leadership: Partner with CEO, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions to align marketing with business priorities; identify opportunities proactively; navigate pressure from multiple stakeholders; prioritize effectively; communicate trade offs; ensure marketing delivers highest business impact.Team leadership: Lead and mentor a lean team of two marketers; set priorities, coach, provide feedback, raise the quality bar, and create an environment for growth with high execution standards.Data-driven decisions: Own inbound pipeline and every lever in it; measure what matters; understanding complex buying committees, long sales cycles, and how marketing contributes to revenue growth beyond lead generation.Product Marketing Expertise: foundation in positioning, messaging, go to market strategy, product launches, customer storytelling, and sales enablement; turning technical products into compelling business narratives.Ownership and Initiative: spot opportunities before others; don’t wait for requests to market features, write stories, or launch campaigns; simplify complex ideas; influence stakeholders; build trust; compromise when it’s right.WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOUBuild in an industry that's still defining modern B2B marketing: Logistics & supply chain technology is at an exciting stage of digital transformation; opportunity to rethink enterprise software marketing; curiosity and strong product marketing fundamentals matter; learn quickly and bring fresh ideas.Globally distributed, remote-first flexibility: fully distributed team across Asia and Europe built on trust, accountability, and collaboration.Visibility & Impact: lean structure;
