HDQ Chartered Accountants is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team.We’re an award-winning accounting and advisory firm specialising in property investors, business owners, tax planning and investment structuring.We’re looking for someone who is technically strong but also enjoys working directly with clients, understanding their broader position and helping them make better decisions around tax, structures, property and wealth creation.The role will involve:Tax compliance and tax planningTrusts, companies and investment structuresProperty investment taxation and structuringAdvising clients on the tax implications of their investment decisionsUnderstanding how different structures can impact lending and borrowing capacityWorking alongside our dedicated SMSF division where requiredBuilding long-term relationships and becoming a trusted adviser to clientsYou’ll ideally have:Strong Australian tax and accounting knowledgeCA qualificationPublic practice experience, with mid-tier or Big 4 experience highly regardedStrong knowledge of trusts, companies and investment structuresA good understanding of property investment taxation and structuringAn understanding of lending fundamentals and borrowing capacityBasic SMSF knowledge and exposureStrong client-facing and communication skillsThe ability to explain complex concepts in a practical, easy-to-understand wayA commercial mindset and an interest in looking beyond compliance to understand the client’s bigger picturePersonal experience investing in property or building your own investment property portfolio will also be highly regarded.We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with commercial thinking and a genuine interest in property and wealth creation.If this sounds like you, or you know someone who could be a great fit for HDQ, we’d love to hear from you.
