🚀 The Role
As a Strategy & Operations Generalist at Chore (Operations Specialist), you will manage the back office for US startup founders, ensuring HR, payroll, onboarding, compliance coordination, and recurring workflows run smoothly. You will also lead internal strategic initiatives to improve how Chore operates, including designing systems, documentation, dashboards, and workflows that reduce chaos and scale excellence.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
* Run the client’s back office end-to-end: HR, payroll, onboarding/offboarding, compliance coordination, documentation, recurring workflows, dashboards, and urgent requests. Success is smooth operations, predictable workflows, early issue detection, clean documentation, and founders who never need to chase updates.
* Deliver internal strategic initiatives: lead cross-functional projects, including SOPs, systems, dashboards, and operational improvements from scoping to execution to delivery. Success is usable outputs adopted by teams, completed projects with minimal guidance, and visible improvements in operations.
* Proactively improve processes: fix unclear workflows, rewrite messy documentation, streamline repeatable tasks, and propose smarter approaches even when not assigned. Success is clearer systems, faster execution, fewer errors, and reduced chaos.
* Communicate with clarity and emotional intelligence: provide concise updates, surface risks, and structured communication founders can rely on. Success is no chasing for updates, early escalation, smooth collaboration, and trust built through clarity.
* Operate with high ownership and sound judgment: self-manage, prioritize, escalate thoughtfully, and take responsibility for outcomes. Success is strong execution without reminders, calm handling of urgency, and work that stands on its own.

💵 Compensation & Logistics
* Fixed salary of $1200 USD/month with quarterly merit-based bonuses up to 30%.
