A private firm owned by a group controlling $6 billion in assets, with a 15-year tenure in technology and real estate development, Prime provides customers with ownership options and dynamic leasing models, defining a true corporate partnership.About the roleThe Senior Data Center Solutions Engineer reports to the VP of Solutions Engineering and plays a key role in evaluating, designing, and implementing data center technical solutions for construction-based projects for primarily our prospective Hyperscale customers.This role supports opportunities driven by RFPs/RFIs and direct client engagement, partnering closely with Sales and working collaboratively with Engineering, Product Delivery, Operations and Marketing to deliver accurate, compelling, and technically sound responses and proposals.What you'll doDesign, develop, and support the implementation of Data Center solutions aligned with customer technical and business requirements.Lead and engage in internal response teams to review, evaluate and address customer requirements for RFP and RFI submissions.Support implementation and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of customer contractual commitments.Contribute technical content for sales presentation, industry events, publication, and digital platform in partnership with Prime Marketing team.Travel to company sites and OEM facilities to facilitate strong relationships between the company and site contractors and suppliersCollect, manage, and update, internal library of RFP questions/answers and specification documents that are regularly used for response documentsContribute to and manage PowerPoint documents for Sales Engineering-specific subject matterMaintain Salesforce list of available capacity/footprint at existing company facilitiesMaintain a Salesforce list of potential development properties and acquisitions, and the status of eachSelf-paced training to gain knowledge of MEP systems, civil and structural engineering, architecture, and commissioning as they result to data center developmentSelf-paced training to gain knowledge on facility BMS/EPMS/DCIM systems and security operational process and policyCoordinate with company procurement specialist to summarize anticipated vs. required vs. ordered OFCI equipment, and impacts to current sales opportunities and/or site developmentsMonitor TFO project costs and schedule against contractual commitmentsAttend regular Development status meetings and provide weekly summary of progress and issues to Sales to align on business objectivesWork with design team to understand category spend management opportunities, supply market and commodity trends, typical KPI’s for designers, contractors and professional service providersHelp develop RFP packages for TFO design and contracting services and help coordinate competitive sourcing events to ensure structuring of commercial value, risk mitigation, and performances requirements are secured in a contract to protect the company’s interestsCoordinate with procurement team to anticipate needs of various projects to ensure ordering of OFCI equipment for just-in-time delivery to meet company timelinesObtain OFCI equipment submittals to support the design, specification, and process approval for each assigned project as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree, preference in a science-related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering.
